About me

Katherine is currently based in Dubai and is the manager for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risks within the finance department of the Emirates Group. Her primary responsibilities encompass the development of a comprehensive ESG strategy specifically tailored to evaluating financial impacts of risk. Furthermore, she actively works towards fostering organizational awareness about ESG and lends support to the sustainable growth of the aviation industry.

Katherine’s expertise is in identifying and addressing sustainability risks and opportunities across diverse infrastructure sectors, including construction, real estate, chemicals, utilities, oil & gas, and aviation. Her knowledge extends to the application of several sustainability frameworks and standards such as LEED, WELL, GRI, SASB, and TCFD. Passionate about showcasing sustainability as an essential prerequisite for commercial growth, she frequently participates in panel discussions and delivers talks on this critical subject.

Prior to her current role, Katherine was the Sustainability Lead for WSP's Middle East team. Her educational background includes a Master's Degree in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in the UK.
