I work in the banking sector where numbers are central. However, I've realised that communicating those numbers clearly and memorably is equally important.

Presentations have always made me anxious, and I often found myself rewriting emails multiple times because my message wasn't coming across as intended.

I've started applying many of the techniques I learnt in the course to my day-to-day communication at work.

Since then, I’ve had feedback that I’m speaking more clearly and that my responses have a good flow. I also received 10/10 feedback from my career coach during a mock interview – they said the content of my elevator pitch was particularly strong.

Beyond that, both professionally and personally, I’ve changed my mindset. If someone doesn’t understand what I'm saying, I recognise that it’s my responsibility to explain things more clearly.

I appreciated how inclusive and supportive the course was

In traditional classroom settings, shy people like myself often avoid speaking up. This course format was very inclusive, allowing participants to either speak live or submit responses via the group chat.

That made a huge difference for me. I felt included and still benefited fully from every session.

Additionally, having clear frameworks for both written and spoken communication made it feel approachable and possible to master.

The storytelling session stood out the most for me

It fundamentally changed how I think about communication.

I had always associated storytelling with sales and marketing departments and never expected it to be so relevant more broadly. The course showed me that any message you want people to remember is worth wrapping in a story.

I also really valued the weekly assignments, even though they were time-consuming! They ensured that the learning was applied immediately and helped turn knowledge into skills. It was valuable to be able to read other participants’ submissions and learn from each other.

The detailed feedback from the instructors made the process very rewarding. I genuinely felt progress with each assignment.
